About our Heritage
K.K. Nursing Home (KKNH) was founded on 04-12-1978, established by Late Dr. K. P. Rama, a renowned physician of state of Bihar (India). His aim was to provide quality medical care for poor rural population at a very affordable cost. For the first time in district of Bhagalpur a medical indoor facility was offered to common people. He was joined by his two sons:
Dr. B. K. Sinha, a post graduate surgeon trained in UK and Dr. A. K. Sinha, a physician and cardiologist trained in UK and USA.
Dr. A. K. Sinha did his residency in New Jersey, USA from 1973 to 1975 and was awarded Who’s Who in New Jersey in 1975 for his outstanding work in Cardiology. He is a National Professor in medicine from IMA and also National Best Teacher awardee and is a holder of Triple FRCP from UK along with FACC etc.

Dr. Ashish Sinha did his post doctoral research work in UAB, Alabama, USA under Dr. Navin C. Nanda and has been awarded FACC (USA), FSCAI, FESC, FCSI , FICP, FISE, FRCP three times from UK and many more.
Dr. Nitin Kr Sinha is a doctorate in medicine and has many publications to his credit. He is the specialist in critical care medicine and is a diabetologist also.
NEW VISION:
The new rein of KKNH is now in hands of Dr. Ashish Sinha, MD(Medicine), FRCP(Glasgow, UK), FRCP(Edinburgh, UK), FRCP (Ireland) FESC(Europe), FACC (USA), FSCAI (USA), FISE, FIAE, FCSI (India), FICP (India), MBA (Hospital Management), Fellow of American College of Cardiology, Fellow of Indian Academy of Echocardiography, Fellow of Indian Society of Electro-cardiology, Fellow of European Society of Cardiology, Fellow of Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (USA), Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK, Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Fellow of Cardiological Society of India.
He is a researcher and a doctor with difference. His paper on three-dimensional echocardiography has been quoted as the Standard paper and all the protocols on how to analyze the 3D cropping images since 2004.
Numerous international peer reviewed scientific paper in cardiology of Dr. Ashish Sinha have been published which are cross referred by many researchers abroad. Citations in International scientific medical publication stands today at 569. This is a record in itself.
NEW ICU OPENING:
On 19th January, 2023 we opened up 12 bed state of art ICU facility on the international standard protocols. Academic activities of K. K. Nursing Home & Research Centre is renowned for CME and training.
To name a few:
Monthly CME – Interesting ECHO cases are discussed.
Yearly larger CME – Two full-day District Level meets were organized. Bihar State Annual Scientific meeting (BAPICON 2007) was held on 17th & 18th March, 2007. Cardiology & echo were discussed. Annual Cardiology meeting of Bihar State was held on 20-02-2009 to 22-02-2009. Echo workshop with Live case demonstration was done by Dr. A.K. Sinha, Dr. Ashish Sinha and Dr. Nitin Kr. Sinha.
A book was published in March, 2007 with twelve articles in cardiology and echocardiography by Dr. A.K. Sinha / Dr. Ashish Sinha and Dr. N.K. Sinha.
KKNH provides training in Echo to young postgraduates and refresher course for practicing physicians.
